Train Stations

Antwerp-Berchem Station

By public transportation there are buses 51, 52 and 53 bring you from Antwerp International Airport to Antwerp-Berchem railway station in 10 minutes. The railway station Antwerp-Berchem is located near Antwerp Airport and provides national train connections. You can easily reach other large cities such as Brussels, Ghent and Bruges.

Antwerp-Central Station

Most international trains will depart from Antwerp-Central Station. The fastest way to reach Antwerp-Central station by public transportation is by using frequent running trains between Antwerp-Berchem Station and Antwerp-Central Station. This will only take 5 minutes.
Alternatively you could take a bus at Antwerp-Berchem Station. Busses 21 and 32 or tram 9 and 11 will go to Rooseveltplaats (Roosevelt Square), near Antwerpen-Central railway station.

Tickets for train

You can buy train tickets using the Ticket Offices or the Ticket Vending Machines at the entry of the train station building.

Bus

Busses 51, 52 and 53 stop at the roundabout located in front of the airport: “Deurne luchthavenlei”. These busses run every 15 minutes and will take you to Antwerp-Berchem Station in 10 minutes. Depending on your final destination you can take another mode of transport to reach your final destination (bus, tram, train).

Most of the busses at Berchem-Station will go to “Rooseveltplaats”. This square offers you a wide range of busses and enables you to travel to smaller towns in the Antwerp region.

Bus 33 with final destination Ekeren stops at “Luchthavenlei”, less than 100m in front of the airport.

Tickets

You can purchase a ticket for the bus in advance on the official website – www.delijn.be. You can also purchase a ticket by using your mobile phone by sending a text before getting on the bus. If you are unable to buy a ticket before getting on the bus; you can purchase a ticket from the bus driver.

Tram

There is also the possibility of taking a tram when you are at Antwerp-Berchem Station. This is another way of travelling to various locations in and around the city of Antwerp.

Tram 4 with final destination Slisburg
This tram has a stop at Antwerpen Groenplaats. This stop is close to the historic city center and shopping area.
Tram 9 with final destination Linkeroever (left bank of the river Schelde)
This tram has a stop at Meir (main shopping street) and Groenplaats. The perfect stops for shopping or discovering the historic city center.
Tram 11 with final destination Rooseveldplaats
This tram stops close to Antwerp-Central Station, The Zoo and offers the possibility to take another bus or tram to various locations around Antwerp.
