By car

The airport is located at 5 kilometers from the center of Antwerp and is easily accessible via the highway E19. 

The airport is located: 

• next to the center of Antwerp.
• within 25 minutes from Mechelen.
• within 35 minutes from Sint-Niklaas and Turnhout.
• within 45 minutes of Brussels en Louvain.
• 25 kilometers from the Dutch border with North Brabant and Zeeland.

We recommend that you plan your route carefully in advance.

Low Emission Zone

Antwerp Airport is located outside the low emission zone of the city of Antwerp. The entire city centre of Antwerp and Linkeroever are a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) to ensure that air in the city becomes even cleaner. The most polluting cars are no longer welcome in the city. Since 1/1/2020 the conditions for admission have become stricter! Always check your vehicle with the check tool before entering the LEZ.

By public transport

The airport is easily accessible by public transport via train and bus. We advise you to plan your route in advance and to consult the latest travel information before your departure via delijn.be and the website of National Belgian Railway Company.

From the Antwerpen-Berchem train station
The Antwerpen-Berchem railway station is close to Antwerp Airport. Bus 51, 52 and 53 will take you to Antwerp Airport in just over 10 minutes. 

From Antwerpen-Centraal train station
For international connections, Antwerp-Central station is the place to be. Here you can take a train to Antwerpen-Berchem and take bus 51, 52 or 53 to Antwerp Airport.

Bus 21 and 32 or tram 9 and 11 also bring you to Rooseveltplaats, close to Antwerpen-Centraal.
