TUI FLY OFFERS THREE NEW DESTINATIONS FROM ANTWERP

Airline TUI fly is expanding its offer from Antwerp airport for the summer season with the launch of 3 new destinations. As of June 30, TUI fly will connect Antwerp with Tenerife (Spain), Antalya (Turkey) and Heraklion (Crete). The traveler has the option to book a ticket via TUI fly or book a package trip from tour operator TUI. With this expansion, TUI is responding to the demand of travelers to be able to depart from an airport close to where they live to popular destinations.

The launch of these new lines is made possible by the arrival of three new Embraer aircraft type E195-E2 in TUI fly’s fleet. These environmentally friendly aircraft will replace the Embraer E190 that were put into service in 2016. The new aircraft will make it possible to travel longer distances.

Due to technically more performant engines and adjustments in aerodynamics, CO2 emissions per seat are as much as 33% lower than for the Embraer E190. Within a normal flight program, this means 29.7 tons fewer emissions per seat annually. On takeoff and landing, the noise of the E195 carries up to 50% less than that of the E190. This makes the E195 E2 among the very quietest aircraft within the “regional” segment, the smaller aircraft type

Gunther Hofman, Managing Director of TUI fly Western Region: “TUI fly Belgium has already proven its commitment to environmentally friendly aviation. We are therefore sincerely pleased that TUI Airline gives us the opportunity to offer the innovative E195 E2 exclusively to the Belgian traveler. Very important is also that we can bring a positive ecological story to the immediate vicinity of the Antwerp airport.”
